Event Details

Whether you’re a road cyclist in top form, a weekend recreational rider, or a parent pulling two kids in a trailer, Eugene’s Blackberry bRamble is the ride for you, it's a great bike event and you won't want to miss it!

The Blackberry bRamble has long been known for its scenic route, extraordinary food at rest stops, reliable support and free blackberry pie and ice cream at the finish.

The night before the ride, meet other riders at a community dinner ($10.00) in support of  Eugene’s Adaptive Cycling program.   All are welcome to reserve a  campsite overnight in Amazon Park, and purchase a pancake breakfast on the morning of the ride.

  • To reserve your camp site, dinner or breakfast through the City of Eugene, Recreation Services call,   541-682-5311.
  • The cost for the "Blackberry Package" of dinner, camping and breakfast is $20.00 or a la carte, dinner $10.00, camping $6.00 and breakfast $6.00.

Sunday morning, the rides begin

  • Full 100-mi. Century Starts 7-9 AM,
  • Metric Century 8-10 AM 
  • 39 Miler Starts 9-10 AM.
  • Community Ride (10 or 20 miles) Starts 11 AM (see a map of this ride here)

    All rides leave from the Hilyard Community Center. Note: If you are not pre-registered, your starting time will be later than the stated times. All routes will close at 4:00 PM.

Whether you’ve chosen the 100-mile Century, the 62-mile Metric Century, the 39-mile Crow Loop, or the 10/20 mile Community Ride, you’ll arrive back at Amazon Park to find a bike celebration in progress, with:

  • bike-powered music ---> With headliner Marv Ellis performing at 3pm
  • local vendors
  • community booths
  • bike obstacle course
  • tricycle race for kids
  • great food
  • beer garden  

  If you’re hot and tired, cool off with a swim at Amazon Pool for only $1.

 

Registration will be limited to the first 500 riders.

Day of Registration for 100, metric & 39 is $45.00. Community Ride $10.00

The mission of GEARs is to promote and encourage bicycle riding for transportation and recreation. GEARs strives to accomplish this mission by:
* Coordinating, promoting and leading regularly scheduled rides for riders of various skill levels,
* Teaching safety and skill classes for riders of various skill levels,
* Encouraging public, private and governmental entities to develop better cycling facilities,
* Defending and protecting the rights and responsibilities of bicycle riders as vehicle operators for transportation, pleasure and health,
* Initiating, coordinating and leading community bicycling events, and
* Lobbying governmental and public entities in the furtherance of our mission, vision and values.
